UNISON SCHOOL LEAVERS' SCHOLARSHIP

Unison is offering one school leaver from Hawke's Bay, Rotorua or Taupo a scholarship to the value of $5000 per year to study Electrical Engineering at one of the following tertiary institutes starting in 2013.

• University of Canterbury
  
• University of Auckland

To be eligible for this scholarship, school leavers must:

• be intending to enrol in a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Auckland or University of Canterbury,

• attend a local school in either Hawke’s Bay, Taupo or Rotorua, and

• be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand.

TO APPLY:

• complete the Scholarship Application Form,

• write a maximum 500 word essay which:

- introduces yourself (i.e. personal traits that make you stand out from other applicants),
- explains why you are interested in completing an Electrical Engineering degree, and
- details what you have to offer Unison (i.e. why you should be selected for a scholarship), 

• send in two personal written references:

- one from your school principal,
- the other from a past coach, employer or leader in the community.

Deadline for applications is 2 November 2012.
