Hawke’s Bay electricity consumers will receive their $100 tax paid dividend from the Hawke’s Bay Power Consumers’ Trust during this week, as their share in the $6.2 million dividend from electricity lines company Unison Networks.

 

Unison set to power Hawke’s Bay Rugby

Junior rugby in Hawke’s Bay is set to get a boost thanks to new sponsor, local powerlines company Unison. The Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union announced today that Unison has signed on to be their “Greatest Supporter” in a three-year sponsorship commitment as community partner, with a special emphasis on junior rugby.

Internet Voting to be used for Hawke’s Bay Power Consumers’ Trust election

Internet Voting is being used for the first time in this year’s HBPCT election of Trustees. The Hawke’s Bay Power Consumers’ Trust [HBPCT] was established in 1993 to hold the shares in Unison Networks Ltd on behalf of the consumers who are connected to Unison's electricity network in Hawke's Bay. In simple terms, this is generally the areas of the Hastings District Council and the Napier City Council. Unison Networks Limited is the fourth largest electricity lines company in New Zealand and it is the distributor of electricity in Hawke’s Bay, Rotorua and Taupo.

 

Review of Ownership

Late last year the five yearly review process was commenced. The Directors’ Report is now available for inspection at the offices of the Trust and at Unison Networks Limited. Copies are also available at the five libraries in Hastings and Napier.

 

Lighten Your Power Bill

Local households could switch on to $500 of power savings each over the next few years by taking up an energy efficient lightbulb deal. Hastings and Napier households and businesses are being offered another chance to buy heavily subsidised energy efficient lightbulbs.

 

Power Trust to pay out $4.5 million to Hawke's Bay Consumers
