We offer a free safety education programme for children in Hawke’s Bay, Taupō and Rotorua, focusing on teaching them how to stay safe around electricity.

Digital Safe Sparks 

Digital Safe Sparks is an interactive, animated and fun way for children to learn about electricity safety.

Watch short videos, complete fun activities, and pick up real-world safety tips as you go. Now open for families, schools, and community groups, it can be completed at home, in the classroom, or anywhere.

Schools can go into the draw to win a $500 book or sports gear voucher for their class/school if they complete Digital Safe Sparks before November 30th. Find out more here. 

In-person Schools Programme

Our In-person Safe Sparks Programme brings a two-part indoor and outdoor session to primary schools, with tailored content for different year levels.

Who are Safe Sparks?

Safe Sparks are cool kids who know how to keep themselves and others safe around electricity.

They can spot electrical dangers in their neighbourhood and aren't afraid to speak up if something's wrong.
