July 27, 2015

Jude Wakely nominated St. Patrick's Gold junior netball team because...

"They are all girls who just love, ooze, breath netball. They have lost by unbelievable amount of points in the last 4 (all) games of their season but still turn up week after week with a smile on their dials. This game they won finally and oozed passion and pride - dedicating it to all their whanau supporters who were willing them to win just one game! They deserve a boost if confidence to find success for their dedication! Please!"

Unison's Greatest Supporter's Hit the Radio Sound Waves

July 20, 2015

Unison’s Greatest Supporter’s for July, Ella-Michaela Good and Henry Massingham, will be heard across Hawke’s Bay, Rotorua and Taupo this month, after recording a radio ad part of their mission for July.

Ella-Michaela Good, who plays hockey for the Te Mata Red Rockets and Henry Massingham from the Havelock North 9th grade Kings junior rugby team, was asked to help Unison record a series of radio ads which tell Unison’s customers ways that they can get prepared to cope during a power outage.

Last Friday, both winners met at Mediaworks in Hastings, where they had a quick practice of their scripts before stepping foot in a real-life recording studio to record their ads!

Both winners did such an amazing job - we can't wait to share the finished ads with you all!

Check out the photos of our winners in action below!

GS video snapshot

Hunter Jordan and Deziah Thompson attended a Hawke's Bay Magpies training session at Elwood Park, last week where they recorded a Q&A video with Magpies players, Tyrone Elkington and Mason Emerson, using questions they had thought up and written down themselves!

Along with the interviews, both Hunter and Deziah gave Tyrone and Mason a run for their money in some rugby ball handling skills, kicking practice and tackling.

Tyrone and Mason also tried their hand at performing push-ups while Hunter and Deziah sat cross-legged on their backs.

it was an afternoon of fun for everyone! Special thanks to our videographer, Kerin Greville and to the Hawke's Bay magpies players for being such great sports!

Rugby-Mad 'Greatest Supporters' Recieve Mission for Month of June!

June 25, 2015

Two Hawke’s Bay junior rugby players will get up close and personal with the Hawke’sMagpies Image Bay Magpies this month, after receiving their ‘Greatest Supporter’ mission for June!

June’s ‘Greatest Supporters’ were randomly drawn this week, with Hunter Jordan (who plays junior rugby for the 8th grade Eskview Eels) and six-year-old Deziah Thompson (from the Tamatea Pukana’s junior rugby team), being crowned as our winners for the month.

With both winners being ‘rugby-mad’, they have each been given a ‘rugby focussed’ mission to complete throughout the month – which includes each interviewing a Hawke’s Bay Magpies player.

Deziah and Hunter will each write a list of questions they want the Magpies players to answer. This could be anything from what he eats for breakfast, his game day ritual or his favourite music to train to.

At the end of the month, Hunter and Deziah will attend a Magpies training session at Elwood Park in Hastings, where they will use their list of questions to film a fun, Q&A video with two players from the Hawke’s Bay Magpies.

Both interviews will be filmed by Unison’s videographer, and uploaded to Unison’s social media channels for everyone to see.

In return for their hard work, Hunter and Deziah will each receive an awesome prize pack  – plus, a little something for mum and dad too!

Unison’s Greatest Supporter Competition runs from April through to September, with two ‘Greatest Supporters’ being announced each month. For updates on the competition, be sure to ‘like’ Unison on Facebook  –
