Get a Permit

If you’re planning to carry out a task which puts you, equipment or vehicles within four metres of a power line, ensure you apply for the correct permit to get the job done safely.

To ensure the safety of people working near powerlines, all activities and work in proximity to powerlines must comply with ECP 34 - New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safe Distances (NZECP 34:2001).
