August’s Greatest Supporter’s Rally Support for Hawke’s Bay Magpies
The Hawke’s Bay Magpies will receive a surge of support for their upcoming ITM Cup games, after two Hawke’s Bay junior rugby players received their mission for the month of August as part of Unison’s Greatest Supporter competition.
Sam Start (who plays junior rugby for the 10th grade NOBM Napier Collision) and Cael Windelev (from the Taradale Thunder junior rugby team) have been given a ‘rugby-supporters’ mission to complete throughout the month – which includes collecting as many messages of support for the Hawke’s Bay Magpies as they can, prior to the 2015
ITM Cup kicking off around the country.
At the end of the month, all messages will be collected and turned into a giant banner which both Sam and Cael will help to hang at McLean Park on Saturday 5 September - ready for the Hawke’s Bay Magpies’ Ranfurly Shield defence match against North Harbour.
After receiving their missions earlier this week, Sam has already enlisted help from his classmates at St Patrick’s School in Napier, as well as his rugby and basketball team. Cael has been busy too - counting up 61 messages of support already.
In return for their hard work, Sam and Cael will each receive an awesome prize pack, along with a family pass to watch the game from the comfort of the stands.
