Junior hockey numbers in Hawke's Bay continue to increase, with player numbers rising by almost 20% leading into the new season, and seeing almost 1,000 players taking to the turf in 2016.
Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union Commercial Manager, Jay Campbell, said the numbers of junior players participating had continually grown since sponsor Unison Networks came on board in 2008, with over 3,400 children taking to the field last season.
