The Trust impacts the lives of many of our customers in the Hawke’s Bay area by assisting in around 400 missions per year. We are proud to have been an Associate Sponsor of the Trust since 2000.
Hawke's Bay Rugby Union
Unison has been Hawke's Bay Rugby's greatest supporter since 2009, partnering with the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union to develop a highly successful junior rugby programme that has seen participation grow year on year. In addition to supporting junior club rugby, Unison's support extends to include one of the local secondary school rugby competitions.
Rotorua Night Market
Unison has powered the Rotorua Night Market since 2010. It's a whānau friendly market which is held at the heart of the city on Tūtānekai Street every Thursday night.
The night market offers delicious kai, local arts and crafts to purchase and plenty of live performances to keep you and the whānau entertained.
Ātea a Rangi Educational Trust
Unison has proudly partnerered with the Ātea a Rangi Educational Trust to deliver their Ngā Tohu o te Tau Hou (Signs of the New Year) education programme since 2017. Unison hopes to give children the opportunity to learn more about Matariki as well as traditional astrological practices embedded in Māori culture.
Graeme Dingle Foundation
Unison formed a powerful partnership with the Graeme Dingle Foundation in 2022 to support local youth in Rotorua and Hawke’s Bay.
Unison shares a kaupapa with the Foundation that all young people should be empowered to reach their potential and live their best lives.
Crown Park Cycle Skills Track
Young cyclists can practice their bike skills and road safety at the improved Crown Park Cycle Skills and Pump Track in Taupō. In 2023, Unison provided electrical connections for lights and traffic signals, and created a play-based EV charging station to promote sustainable energy solutions through creative play.
Greatest Supporter Programme
Unison celebrated 15 years of backing junior sports through its Greatest Supporter Programme in 2023.
The programme supports more than 12,000 children every year in Hawke’s Bay, Taupō and Rotorua through junior rugby, netball, hockey, football and lake safety (Rotorua).
As a consumer-owned organisation, Unison’s proud to support and showcase events and organisations that support the wellbeing, health and development of its communities. The programme is also a great channel for Unison to deliver safety messages to keep young people safe around electrical assets.
