Digital Safe Sparks School Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter
1.1 The Digital Safe Sparks School Competition ("Competition") is promoted by Unison Networks Limited ("Unison").
1.2 These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to the Digital Safe Sparks School Competition. Unison's general Promotion and Competition Terms and Conditions do not apply to this Competition. To the extent of any inconsistency, these Terms and Conditions prevail over any other promotion or competition terms published by Unison.

2. Competition Period
2.1 The Competition opens on 17 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 30 November 2026 ("Competition Period").
2.2 Entries received after the closing date and time will not be eligible for entry.

3. Eligibility
3.1 The Competition is open to primary and intermediate school classes located within Hawkes Bay, Taupō and Rotorua.
3.2 The entrant is the participating class. Entries must be submitted by a teacher on behalf of that class.
3.3 Multiple classes from the same school may enter, provided each class satisfies these Terms and Conditions.
3.4 Participation in the Competition is free. No purchase or payment is required.
3.5 A class is not ineligible solely because one or more students have a parent, guardian or family member employed by Unison.

4. How to Enter
4.1 To enter the Competition:
(a) the class teacher must ensure that the class has completed the Digital Safe Sparks programme;
(b) the class teacher must submit the designated online entry form during the Competition Period; and
(c) the teacher must confirm that the class has completed the programme.
4.2 Only one entry may be submitted for each participating class.
4.3 By submitting an entry, the teacher confirms that:
(a) they are authorised to submit the entry on behalf of the class and school; and
(b) the information provided is accurate and complete.
4.4 Unison may rely on the teacher’s confirmation that the class has completed the Digital Safe Sparks programme and is not responsible for independently verifying completion. However, Unison reserves the right to verify eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions, and may reject any entry that is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or does not satisfy the Competition requirements.

5. Prize
5.1 One prize will be awarded. The winning class will receive a prize to the value of NZ$500. The winning school may choose either:
(a) a NZ$500 sports gear voucher; or
(b) a NZ$500 book voucher.
5.2 The prize will be awarded to the winning school for the benefit of the winning class.
5.3 The winning school, through the winning teacher or another authorised school representative, must notify Unison which voucher option it wishes to receive within the timeframe specified by Unison.
5.4 The prize is not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
5.5 Unison reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the selected voucher is unavailable.

6. Winner Selection
6.1 One winning class will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period.
6.2 The draw will take place on a date determined by Unison following the close of the Competition Period.
6.3 Unison's decision on all matters relating to the draw and winner selection is final, and Unison will not enter into correspondence regarding the outcome, except where required by law.

7. Winner Notification and Prize Administration
7.1 The winning teacher will be contacted using the contact details provided in the entry form.
7.2 If Unison cannot contact the winning teacher or another authorised representative of the winning school within a reasonable period, or the winning class is subsequently found to be ineligible, Unison may conduct a redraw.
7.3 The winning teacher and school will be responsible for administering and using the prize for the benefit of the winning class.
7.4 Once the prize has been provided to the school, Unison is not responsible for how the prize is managed, distributed or used by the school.

8.3 Participation in the Competition does not itself constitute consent for publication of any student's photograph, video or personal information.

9. School Responsibilities
9.1 Where photographs, videos or student information are provided to Unison, the participating school is responsible for ensuring that any permissions and consents required by the school have been obtained before that material is provided to Unison.
