The Unison Engineering Scholarship opens for applications
Unison Networks Limited (Unison) is proud to announce that applications are now open for the Unison Engineering Scholarship, offering aspiring local engineers a pathway into a dynamic and impactful industry. The scholarship, valued at up to $10,000 per year of study, is designed to support students pursuing a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
In addition to financial support, recipients gain hands-on industry experience through summer work placements at Unison and the potential for employment after graduation, subject to performance and availability.
Unison General Manager of Networks and Operations, Gagan Chadha, highlighted the scholarship's role in supporting aspiring young engineers to gain real world experience as they complete their education, while also nurturing the electrical engineering workforce of the future.
"Attracting budding engineers to Unison is crucial and the scholarship enables us to grow and sustain the skills that support Unison’s vision of a enabling our communities’ sustainable energy future while powering the growth and prosperity of our regions.”
Recent scholarship recipient Holly Wogan has begun building a career working at Unison in a summer student placement. Graduates often credit the programme for providing invaluable career opportunities and practical experience.
Holly says: “The scholarship not only eased the financial needs of university but also introduced me to a fast-paced and rewarding industry. My role at Unison allows me to combine theoretical knowledge from my degree with real-world problem-solving, shaping my journey as an engineer.”
