Reprioritising work during COVID-19
With much of the community now based from home – and more reliant on the continuity of power – we are only carrying out work that is essential in ensuring the reliability of our network, and the safety of our community.
We have therefore reprioritised our work. If you have been notified that your property will be affected by a planned shutdown, please check the details under the ‘scheduled’ tab. We will do our very best to minimise the impact on your power supply, by using generation where we can and keeping outages as brief as possible.
Most of the time we can do our work without interrupting your power supply. Sometimes we need to turn off the power to complete work safely. We can’t always work on live lines. We understand it’s frustrating to have a power outage and try to keep any outage as short as possible.
