In-person Safe Sparks

In-person Safe Sparks

The In-person Safe Sparks programme is run as a two-part session - one part indoors and one part outdoors - designed for Junior & Middle School (Years 1-4) and Senior School (Years 5-6).

Each two-part session goes for around one hour and is adapted to suit your school bell times.

Indoor session

Our Programme Coordinator will take students through a fun, informative and visual presentation covering:

  • Identifying electricity in the home, classroom and community
  • Understanding how electricity is made
  • Developing skills to keep ourselves and others safe around electricity
  • Identifying Unison's electrical equipment in the community
Outdoor session

Delivered by a member of our field staff, students will get a close-up look at safety gear and equipment used when working around electricity. They'll also see examples of things damaged by electricity.

Activity books and certificates

Students who take part in the in-person Safe Sparks programme will receive a follow-up activity book and certificate at the end of their session.

The activity book is a fun way to help kids remember what they've learnt, with puzzles, activities and games.
