Pricing Disclosures
The Commerce Commission regulates how much Unison can charge for electricity distribution using a set method called the Default Price-Quality Path.
This method considers factors like costs, investment, and service quality to keep our business sustainable while ensuring fair pricing.
Each year, we set our charges within the Commission’s rules and publish them along with our pricing methodology. We also implement the Electricity Authority’s pricing principles which promote efficient pricing for consumers.

How do we calculate our charges?
Each year, Unison is required to set tariffs within the Commerce Commission’s ruling on pricing, and publish these tariffs and related methodology.
